国指定重要無形文化財でありユネスコ無形文化遺産に登録されている、沖縄が誇る伝統芸能「組踊」は、琉球王朝時代、中国皇帝の使者を歓待するために首里城で披露されていた宮廷芸能でした。
国立劇場おきなわでは、(一財)沖縄美ら島財団との共催により、首里城の復興の様子や文化歴史のガイドと合わせて組踊ワークショップを開催します!

Kumiodori, a traditional performing art that Okinawa is proud of, is a nationally designated Important Intangible Cultural Property and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Kumiodori was a courtly art performed at Shurijo Castle during the Ryukyu Dynasty to entertain the emissaries of the Chinese emperor.
The National Theatre Okinawa, in cooperation with the Okinawa Churashima Foundation, will hold a Kumiodori workshop in conjunction with a cultural history guide on the restoration of Shurijo Castle!
