This performance will allow the audience to enjoy the best of Ryukyuan dance, from classical dances handed down from the Ryukyu Dynasty to zodori (miscellaneous dances) created in the Meiji period and creative dances of the modern period.
The performance will introduce a wide range of fascinating aspects of Ryukyuan dance, including one-person dances, two-person dances, and group dances by the holders of “Ryukyuan dance,” a nationally designated Important Intangible Cultural Asset.
