The Okinawan Play Appreciation Class will present a series of plays that are easy to watch even for first-time viewers so that they can feel more familiar with Okinawan Play. 

The first part will be a comedy “Kutsu”(the Shoes) and the second part will be a period dance drama “Maachi-nu-shii”(the spirit of a pine tree).

＜Synopsis.＞

"Kutsu"

An incident at a shoe store. An envelope containing a lot of money is left at the store, and the owner of the shoe shop hides the envelope inside a pair of shoes, causing a commotion.

"Maachi-nu-shii”

A beautiful woman suddenly appears before a man and woman who are about to get married.
The beautiful woman lures the man away and tries to break their relationship, and soon the man is also captivated.
The woman grieves over the loss of the man she has promised her future to, and is about to take her own life when the spirit of the pine tree, who had been watching over her, appears...
