Okinawa is said to be a treasure box of the folk entertainment. The entertainment born out of festival scenes in the islands and villages, such as Eisa, Shishimai and Bouodori, and the Okansen-odori created at the royal government are still passed down to the next generation in various locations in Okinawa.
